Alone in My Head

I find comfort in walking at night, a time to be alone and think, be one with the universe.

'Alone in My Head' began as a project whilst I was studying for my BA. It was my attempt to document my struggles with mental health, something I have struggled with since I was a teenager. I love being alone at night, especially during those odd hours I call stupid o’clock. I guess you could say I’m a noctivagant, someone who wanders at night, but I do it with a camera in hand. It helps clear my mind, especially when my mental health isn’t at its best.
Occasionally, my wanderings take me through graveyards and cemeteries, where I feel totally at peace with myself and my place in the world.
The images on this page are just a few of the ones taken while I was in university; I will add more as the battle continues.
